The Buddha taught that the practice of generosity is the first step on the path to spiritual awakening. Assaya Sangha relies on the generous donations and contributions of energy, time and talents from sangha members.

General donations support the overall community and are used to pay for operating costs such as space rental, necessary software, printing, office and program supplies, insurance, and state and local fees. Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) trainings for the community are funded from general donations.
