OUR DAY TOGETHER
To live moment to moment mindfully is a beautiful aspiration. In the Buddhist teachings, mindfulness is an essential part of the spiritual path toward more happiness and wisdom. It allows us to meet difficulties with poise and respond more compassionately. It also allows us to be present for the joy in our lives, not letting it pass by without notice. As we step forward into some pretty challenging circumstances, politically and socially, we need the foundational mental strength and availability of heart that mindfulness provides.
This day-long retreat will focus on the traditional four foundations of mindfulness. We'll flow between formal meditation and yoga movement practice. It will be a restorative day suitable for all meditation and yoga experience levels. Open to all self-identified women of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and abilities.
This daylong retreat is offered free of entrance fee due to the generous donations of many. The teachers also offer their time and teachings out of dana (generosity). Please consider supporting our teachers by making a donation at this time. This is a special collection that will go directly to Kate and Antonia for teaching this day and not into the teacher's dana pool, which gets distributed each month among all the Assaya teachers.
