This daylong meditation retreat will be led by both Kate Munding and Antonia Fokken and offers a deeply nourishing opportunity to unplug, slow down, and reconnect through the Buddha's first foundation of mindfulness — the body. The day weaves together Dharma teachings, guided meditation, and accessible mindful movement. Together we will explore how we focus our attention — learning to anchor in sensation, track internal experience with curiosity, and widen awareness when needed — cultivating steadiness and resilience from the inside out. Through intentional pauses, embodied inquiry, and compassionate presence, participants are invited to shift from patterns of surviving toward a felt sense of thriving, leaving with practical tools to ground, regulate, and return to the wisdom of the body in daily life.

Registration is required. Space is limited to 40 in-person attendees. Your donation at the time of registration will go to support both the teachers and the Assaya Sangha. We are grateful for your generosity, and we also understand if you are unable to donate at this time. No one is turned away due to a lack of funds. This event is for self-identified women only. Chairs will be provided, but we recommend bringing a yoga mat and a small throw blanket for the movement portions of the day, you may also want to bring a pillow or a bolster if that would be supportive. If you are in need of a mat, please let us know, and we'll provide you with one. There will be opportunities for deep guided relaxation, with the option to lie on the floor.  For this, it would be helpful to have a pillow, yoga bolster, blanket, and any other items you would like for added comfort, such as an eye pillow. We are not suggesting you purchase any of these items, but encourage you to bring what you have available.

IN-PERSON REGISTRATION IS FULL - If you have registered for in-person participation, the event takes place at the Gyuto Tibetan Buddhist Monastery, 6401 Bernhard Ave, Richmond, CA.
